MICROBE-LIFT
BARLEY STRAW PELLETS+ is an environmentally responsible and cost-effective pond
conditioner. It is a natural and organic way to a healthy pond environment.
Barley straw and selected natural peat’s have been processed and packaged to
make them easy to apply with no mess. BARLEY STRA W PELLETS+ are manufactured
using an exclusive proprietary process that eliminates the use of wheat, corn or
other binders. The barley straw is harvested and stored under climatic
conditions that assure quality of essential ingredients. The process also makes
these pellets weed free. Application of these pellets under water prevents the
formation of black mold. BARLEY STRAW PELLETS are rich in humic acids, which are
very beneficial to the aquatic environment. Humic acid softens pond water,
reduces the negative effect of phosphate and generally improves the environment
for your fish. The humic acid will also chelate other metals, such as mercury or
arsenic. In addition, oxygen and sunlight activate humic acids to produce
hydrogen peroxide naturally and at a low level of release.

W PELLETS+ is completely harmless to Fish and higher pond plants. The natural,
biological activity of fungus and bacteria break down barley straw to produce
humic acids. Therefore, it can be used over a long period of time. The peat has
already been broken down in ponds thousands of years ago. The peat becomes part
of the substrate of your pond. Depending on level and length of use, the peat
will buffer the PH and control some alkalinity. Some of the clearest pond waters
stand over peat bottoms.

Microbe-Lift AWP
Accelerate the decomposition of leaves, scum,
sediment and other organic matter during the fall and winter months.
MICROBE-LIFT/AWP will also jump start your pond
into a healthier environment in the spring.
MICROBE-LIFT/AWP is a two-part system. The
package contains one quart of liquid bacteria and two 2oz. Water-soluble packets
with a blend of cellulose enzymes, cellulose-producing bacteria and cold weather
bacteria.
The cellulose enzymes along with
cellulose-producing bacteria are the key to accelerating the breakdown of
leaves, organic sediment and sludge all winter long. The cold weather bacteria
and liquid bacteria take care of the initial breakdown by-products.

Koi are large fish and
require a lot of oxygen especially spring when temperatures start to warm up and
biological activity increases. A good rule when stocking koi is to allow 25
square feet of pond surface for each fish. Remember if your pond is heavily
stocked with fish, they should be removed incrementally as they grow. Koi are
heavy bodied and their high oxygen needs should not be ignored.
Another rule of thumb is 10
gallons of aerated, filtered water for every fish inch or 30 gallons of aerated
water for every fish inch. It is always better to have less fish than more.
